The Good Energy Project Mission:

Spread as much

good energy as possible

AROUND THE WORLD

person by person, day by day
by helping people
find, use, & spread their OWN good energy.

The

Good Energy Project

Vision:

That all humans ARE:

    • Living & working in their zone of genius (by understanding & using their superpowers)
    • Feeling good about themselves & their ability to create a fulfilling, aligned life
    • Experiencing less fear & more love – for themselves, life, & their fellow humans
    • Learning how to live THEIR best lives, AND how to let others live THEIR OWN best lives
    • Having confidence in who they are
    • Making enough $$ to support themselves & their families
    • Connecting to themselves & the world in a way that makes them more compassionate & empathetic

The

Good Energy Project

is Here Because:

Our world is at an interesting crossroads, & we need to support one another as we navigate the most rapid changes in history in such a short period of time (& it’s continuing to accelerate).

We feel energy from others & project our own energy out – ALL.THE.TIME.

We can all think of someone with good energy. You feel good and ‘UP’ around them – even after you walk away. And we often feel a little down when we’re around people projecting negative energy.

The good news – is that YOU are the ONLY one who controls your energy.

If we can use more of our time each day to feel & share OUR good energy out in the world, we create a ripple effect and a happier world for us all to live in.

About Me:

Hi, I’m Ashley, founder of The Good Energy Project
someone who knows firsthand what it feels like to have life flip upside down in an instant.

The Short Version:

When my 20-year relationship ended just 10 weeks before the world shut down for COVID, I found myself alone Googling:

“How to not F up your kids in a divorce.”

What followed was a wild, disorienting ride through grief, learning to co-parent, ADHD realizations, trying to figure out what ‘I’ want now for the rest of my life – when it had been ‘We’ for so long:

  • Continuing my search for purpose & work that actually fit with who I am
  • Navigating dating, dating apps, & new relationships in midlife
  • Trying to stay upbeat & positive so my kids wouldn’t be so traumatized by what seemed like a sinking ship in our immediate & global lives

Along the way, I learned I wanted to help other mid-lifers in transition, including single moms with ADHD, ride the transition roller coasters with their hands in the air — not white-knuckled — & rise from the ashes like a damn phoenix.

We are not on this planet to suffer. I’ve learned life is meant to be LIVED & enjoyed! It’s a choice – YOUR choice.

Let’s go find your good energy & have some fun!

The Full Story:

My parents were happily married for 37 years, until my dad passed at 65. I knew nothing about divorce — & looking around, I didn’t see any examples of single moms who were thriving.

What I saw – on TV & in real life – was stress, survival mode, & a lot of resentment. I knew I didn’t want that to be my story.

So, I made a decision – if I couldn’t find an example to follow, I’d become my own example.

I would choose my own adventure. I would be my own hero.

Then came COVID — & with it, a quiet I didn’t ask for, or know what to do with after not being alone for 20 years, especially as an extrovert.

Half the time I was completely alone, without my kids. So, I read. I listened. I studied. I tried to understand ADHD, divorce, co-parenting, solo parenting, middle-age dating, & how to build a career that didn’t stress me out & drain the complete F-ing life out of me.

One book hit me hard: “The 5 Regrets of the Dying”. I started asking:

  • What kind of life would I want to look back on from my deathbed?
  • What would I regret if I didn’t change?
  • What kind of mother, woman, & human did I WANT to be?

I realized I didn’t want to stay stuck in anger or resentment. I didn’t want to model bitterness to my kids.
So, I focused on what I could control: my thoughts, my energy, & my intention to create something better.

Disco Head

No, my story didn’t go the way I thought it would.
But once I accepted my reality — what is, not what should have been — I could start writing the next chapter. On my terms.

I wanted to show my kids what resilience looks like, how to:

  • Find silver linings in hard moments.
  • Lead with kindness, even when it’s hard.
  • Stay curious, hopeful, & real

(And no — we don’t nail it every day. But those are the targets.)

Now, several years into this journey, I’m proud of the humans we’re all becoming — me, my kids, & yes, even my ex (sometimes 😉). We’re learning to let things go. To laugh more. To appreciate & be grateful for everything we do have, because the universe gives us more of what we what we focus on & are grateful for.

Why I Started the

Good Energy Project

I’ve learned so much about what it takes to navigate big, messy, beautiful life transitions — & I want to help other people do the same.

Especially those of us navigating the ups & downs of midlife, & particularly single moms with ADHD,
because that intersection is a lot & one I know well.

Looking around I also couldn’t ignore the fact that our country is undergoing some significant growing pains that come with change that is never ceasing in life.

There is a lot of fear underneath those growing pains. Of the unknowns that come with something new & different, of losing control, & deep down a fear of being unworthy & alone.

Convincing people to change their minds about issues that have been so strongly programmed through impressive, insidious marketing would not be helpful.

If we can look at each decision, thought, & action (ours & others) & ask -

is this 'really' spreading GOOD ENERGY or NEGATIVE ENERGY?

In our heart & soul,

we know the difference.

Fear may lead us to paths that spread negative energy, but if we shine light on the fear & just feel it for 90 seconds, it will leave you alone.

Instead of focusing on fear & the differences among us, I want to encourage people to focus on creating & spreading GOOD ENERGY in their day-to-day lives & in striving toward larger goals they have for themselves. And in the process learn how things in their life improve & their wishes, prayers, manifestations come to life.

Before this chapter of my life, I spent two decades as a consultant helping federal & state government clients solve complex problems & navigate the changes in large organizations when a major shift happens.

My job was to help clients figure out:

  • Where they are now,
  • Where they want to go, and
  • Creating a map for how to get there — clearly, collaboratively, & strategically

In 2024, I left my consulting career to pursue a calling to help women (& men) in a similar way but helping them in transition periods of life to define their own story, reclaim their power, & design a life that actually fits them along with a map for how to get there.

I earned my coaching certification from an ICF-accredited organization, building on decades of mentoring & coaching clients, colleagues, & friends.

None of us will ever

have all of the answers.

But, by staying curious about ourselves & what is really important to us in life,
we prioritize & create a life that fills our good energy bucket –
so much that it spills over & spreads good energy to those around us.
